Meet Bridgette

Bridgette Shea is a licensed acupuncturist, meditation instructor, energy healer, writer, and public speaker.

Bridgette brings presence, experience, and compassion to each session. She is a natural deep listener and instinctively tailors each session to what you need in that moment. The space she does this in is soothing and warm, allowing for you to fully relax and reconnect to your own source of well being. By supporting you in being able to settle into the aspect of yourself that holds you and heals you, real change can occur. Clients report everything from pain relief to the releasing of long held patterns of mental and emotional struggle.

“Good health stands at the very root of virtuous acts, acquirement of wealth, gratification of desire, and final emancipation.”

— Charaka Samhita, 1:15

Work with Bridgette

Bridgette's studies and practice are rooted in ancient wisdom teachings that have been passed down through the generations. These come from the realms of medicine, acupuncture, meditation, self cultivation, Eastern philosophy, Yoga, Qi Gong, Reiki, and other methods of healing, including transpersonal visualization practices and breathwork. The practical guidance in which of these practices benefit you most right now is what can catalyze transformation and restore flow and vitality to body and mind.

During sessions, you may:

  • Begin to get relief from acute and chronic pain.

  • Learn what foods and lifestyle quirks will continue to facilitate relief and healing.

  • Understand what causes and conditions may help support not feeling well, and how to change them.

  • Recognize the physical ramifications of holding patterns and how to reverse them.

  • Identify how habits interact with your individual mental or physical constitution.

  • See how your body is interconnected with nature, and how nature may be affecting you.

  • Cultivate conscious awareness of self as a whole, integrated being, not just a mind or a body.

  • Relate to your surroundings in a positive, life affirming way.

  • Reconnect with a sense of lightness of being, peace, grace, and ease.

client success stories

  • “I have had the pleasure of working with Bridgette on and off for years, as both a student and a client. Bridgette brings such humble presence and passion to her work and cares deeply about all of her clients. She has a wealth of knowledge mixed between the two worlds of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine, and melds the two beautifully in her practice. She has a great way of relating these practices to people with no background knowledge, helping them in their own process of finding balance from a place of imbalance. Additionally, this understanding, for many, inspires a path to creating sustained health and longevity; not just a quick fix. For me, this built a curiosity that not only helped me to heal some imbalances in my own mind/body, but inspired me to then pursue going to school for Ayurveda myself. We are truly blessed to have such an intelligent and caring practitioner in the upstate area.”

    — Rachel, Student & Client

  • “The energy medicine treatment I received from Bridgette was like true magic. It felt like many layers of old emotions were released, and kept releasing for several days. This treatment helped with some specific health issues and some energetic issues, as well as boosting my immune system and increasing my vitality. Thank you!"

  • "Like China and Tibet, India has its own traditional medicine, Ayurveda, that has been used for thousands of years. Like Chinese medicine, Ayurveda has arrived in the US under the “alternative medicine” umbrella, so it probably isn’t surprising that an American practitioner of both traditions, Bridgette Shea, has combined them in Handbook of Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda: An Integrated Practice of Ancient Healing Traditions. Although written with enough detail for practitioner use, this book offers much to the interested layperson, starting with the foundations of both disciplines before going on to ways they can be used together in real-life situations. For example, when dealing with upper respiratory infections, Shea will use one of two Chinese medicine formulations—depending on exactly which symptoms the patient has—plus teas made with ginger and tulsi (holy basil), an important remedy in Ayurvedic herbalism.”

  • “I have worked with holistic healers for over 20 years, and find Bridgette Shea outstanding in the field. Her medical intuition is accurate and precise. Her energy healing abilities are deep and profound. Add to the her expertise with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Healing (the two oldest healing modalities in the world) and from Bridgette you get practical lifestyle advice to expand your healing. I am impressed with her abilities and her commitment. I don't say that lightly as I have very high standards. Bridgette meets them and then some! I highly recommend working with Bridgette Shea if you have questions about what is going on with your health and how to improve it.”
